DR. JANE KATZ is a pioneer in Fitness and Aquatics, and an author on numerous aspects of health and physical fitness. A professor at the City University of New York, Dr. Katz holds a Doctorate in the field of Gerontology from Columbia University. She has served as a consultant to the President‘s Council on Physical Fitness and Sports and is a Congress member of the International Swimming Hall of Fame. She has been a lifetime volunteer for diverse groups including women in sports, children, seniors, and those with special needs. Jane Katz has been honored by F.I.N.A. (the Federation Internationale de Natation Amateur) with the Certificate of Merit for her 40 plus years of contribution to the sport of swimming at the 2000 Sydney Olympics. In January of 2008 she won seven gold medals at the Pan American Maccabiah games in Argentina.
